The Cowboy song
As I stood there on the dusty street, my whole life passed by me. This is what I had become. Mercenary waiting here, arms akimbo, waiting to shoot.
Always shot from the hips. Hit everything but the target....then when they shot back...learent to aim...but still from the hips....got good at it....lost interest....now I don't care who I hit....or whether I do.
They still shoot back....but it don't pain....they don't have the right bullets anymore.
The journey is long and arduous...but does it ever end....maybe if someone was to balm the wounds it would all make sense....the search for the hand...draws near the end....a new journey must start....where this one will end.
Out in the alley...arms akimbo....he looks in the mirror....ready to draw.
Don't shoot yourself sonny....say the grey hair...drop these six shooters....their time has past....now is the day...for fighting another way.

hey cowboy heard of the phrase..lets make love, not war? ;-) ...the shooting affects both parties in an equally painful way i feel.
for some the unnecessary shooting and resisting may make a journey seem long and tough.
somewhere i read that we are like the sky..events, thoughts & emotions are like the clouds they pass by but can never really touch us.
