The year of the... ( filling in the blanks)

The year should open with a resolution post. Is that a rule? Can I not write about how good new years eve was instead? Must I resolve to do things differently this year? Will I turn out any better from the excercise? Complex and requires too much thinking. Who ever said anything about wanting to do stuff in any case? The inertia is great and while the going is good who wants to upset the apple cart?? So as opposed to resolving to do stuff, let me try and make a list of stuff I will avoid:

1) I will avoid postponing my leave (clap, clap; hear- hear.....err dude where you going to go?)

2) I will avoid staying in office beyond 18:30 hrs (lovely; helps the squash game and what not... has anyone told the traffic authorities about this one?)

3) I shall most certainly avoid driving on friday and saturday nights (no points for guessing why; am a big fan of the taxi union;..... hmmm... girls get your cars out please)

4) I will avoid women who are avoidable (dear readers non of you fall into this category)

5) I will avoid stretching the truth (this point has no co-relation to the one above)

6) I will avoid stretching posts beyond 1 sitting.

Methinks all this is stretching it..... looks like too much stuff to do....
