Gunners blast at Old Trafford

Sound the trumpets mates!! The Gunners have arrived. Probably the best way to turn around a slow start for the season. Beating ManU at Old Trafford!!! Put your legs up and absorb the experience for a day.
The starting list for both camps surprised me. Both managers chose to go with young teams with a light sprinkling of old names. Arsenal experimented with a 4-5-1 with Adebayor the lone point man up front, with Lungberg and Rosickey on the flanks making up the attack. The United forwards sounded more potent with Rooney, Saha, Ronaldo and Scholes all there. But Fletchers selection over Carrick; especially after the latters performance last week came as a surprise and am guessing that they paid for it.
The game was played at a tremendous clip (unlike the dour Chelesa Liverpool affair) with both sides going for broke right from the start. The first honors seemed to go towards Arsenal with Kuszczak accedentially bringing down Adebayor while going for the ball. Gilly Silva unfortunately could not capitalise on the penaly opp and slipped with taking the kick. Thereafter the attacking options from both sides besieged the box and made the keepers earn their bread. Rasping drives from Rosickey and Ronaldo make for a special mention.
The Gunners seemed to be the more potent of the lot putting together a slightly better performance. In the end it took a bit of majic from the talented Cesc Fabregas to take advantage of a lapse in midfied from Ronaldo and a brilliant pass threading the defense to find Adebayor. The Togo international made no error and finsied the opportunity. Pompy tried hard to hit back and created some great chances, but Lehman stood between them and the posts.
The canons have started to boom. Waiting to see more of the same from the Gunners!!!
